GOOD THURSDAY ALL

Happy Thursday all , today we are going to review JUSTICE RIDERS  by Denis Hughes .

                         BOOK BLURB

With an inheritance of $1 million hanging in the balance, who will get there first…?

When old man Ruff dies, leaving $1 million to his son, Ricky Degard is tasked with delivering the documents of the inheritance.

But it proves to be far from the straight forward transaction he first thought.

Degard and his saddle-partner Boyd Fennick ride right into a game of secret marriages, kidnapping and murder.

Given the simple task by Haver Ruff of investigating into his brother’s affairs, they soon find their own lives to be in real danger.

When a masked intruder shoots Arno Ruff in cold blood, and with no other witnesses to prove his innocence, Degard quickly finds himself behind bars for a murder he didn’t commit.

But who is the hombre that wants to frame him?

Once he escapes he has to prove his true innocence to win the aid of the Sheriff and his posse, and get to the bottom of the mystery surrounding the Ruff inheritance.

Soon the forefront of their investigation becomes a heroic quest to save the innocent wife of Arno, Chloe Breeze, who is kidnapped by the mysterious masked man.

To make matters worse, she also wanted by another unknown figure for her true claim to the inheritance.

But who is this masked man that seeks her?

Can Degard and Fennick save her before it is too late?

Will the Justice Riders restore peace to the town, or will the money-grabbing villains win the day?

Bursting with mystery, action and adventure, Justice Riders is a must read for fans of Louis L’Amour and Zane Grey.

                          MY REVIEW

This was such an enjoyable read , the author has mixed a western with a mystery and throw in some romance. Rick Degard and Bob Fennick are dispatched on a simple assignment of delivering some paper work to the son of a dead man . Until the moment he is arrested for a murder he didn't commit and finding Chloe who is kidnapped by a masked man . Will they save the girl and survive the chaos that will ensue

The characters are well written and developed . You start to really care for all of them . We have the good guys that will fight to the death to save you and the bad guys who want to drop you where you stand . This is a really good read , the author paints a great picture of the wild west and the mystery adds such a great twist .
I love westerns and this one is one I am going to tell people about . The story is fast paced and will keep you on the edge of your seat .  You will laugh and cheer for the main characters as they fight their way to get to the truth of the money and find the damsel in distress . If you like Zane Grey and Lous Lamour . Check it out

GOOD TURESDAY ALL

Good Tuesday all today we have something special for you . Its release day for SACRIFICE THE PAWN  ( a spin off of the surrender games ) Surrender Games book 1 by Lydia Michaels

                         BOOK BLURB

Surrender Games follows the emotionally charged and highly erotic contemporary romance saga, The Surrender Trilogy.

Isadora Patras has sacrificed years raising her younger siblings, Lucian and Antoinette. As her brother and sister grow more independent, she feels her purpose is lost. Aching to do something selfish and hungry for a taste of the forbidden, she takes a lover—her father’s protégé and trusted family friend, Sawyer Bishop.

In a secret affair trust is tested, respect is bartered, and reputations are on the line. Sawyer has always been Isadora’s mentor, but now it’s her move. She’s through being a pawn and ready to demand the respect of a Queen.

The Surrender Games Series should be read after The Surrender Trilogy.

                       MY REVIEW

This is a spin off of the surrender trilogy . We get to see what happens to the rest of the family and friends of the Patras family . This is Isadora's story .
Isadora is the oldest child and is thrust into adult responsibilities at a very young age , after her mother dies and her father abandons them . She becomes mother figure to Lucien and Antoinette. She runs the house and keeps them in line , for the most part . She has put her life on hold to make sure that they are on the right path.  But she does one thing she forgets herself an her plans and dreams .  Will she be strong enough to get her love and her dreams .
Isadora is such a complex character . She was thrust into the role of caregiver at such a young age. On the outside you see a calm and cool character , a mask she wears quite well  On the inside she is a insecure , scared young woman who doesn't know if she is doing the right thing and is always second guessing herself . As you follow Isadora through the book we see her start to bloom into her strong self . She wants so much more from life she wants to be loved and wants to be needed . She wants more from the man that is his father colleague and friend . Sawyer has been a constant comfort in her young life and now she wants more . She doesn't care that there is a 20 year age difference . She wants something for herself and will get what she wants . She becomes such a strong woman .
Sawyer is a conflicted man , he knows he shouldn't be with Isadora but there is a pull there and he is very confused with the fact that she wants more from the relationship then he can give . He is scared and doesn't want to upset everyone. There are too many people that could be upset and hurt if the relationship ever got out .
The characters are so well written and very complex , we get emotionally involved with each of them. Trust me you will want to wrap your arms around Isadora and hug her and tell her how much she deserves love . Sawyer you kind of want to slap him upside the head a few times . At first you think he is just using Isadora but there is more to it . The author does a great job in building their characters up and letting them find their way towards each other .
This book is a heart wrenching book , you will be on a roller coaster ride that will make you giggle and cry your eyes out .  The author takes us on a journey , the authors writing has a way of getting under your skin and into your heart . I love the way the author shows us the younger characters and the history of the them and takes them to how they are today . This was a very good read, you will get sucked in and before you know it you are done . I can't wait to see if Isadora get her happily ever after in book two . So if you want a great read check it out .

GOOD MONDAY ALL

Good Monday all , today we are going to review  a new book from a favourite funny wise cracking author . Who I just adore for her tongue in cheek laugh out loud HOT DAMNED SERIES . Her new book FASHIONABLY FLAWED  by Robyn Peterman .

                         BOOK BLURB

You think your job is tedious? Try being the Harbinger of Evil for a day.
I dare you…

What’s the Devil to do when his fire no longer burns away his sins and Fate is screwing with his… well, fate? Easy—lie, cheat, steal and dictate my questionably accurate autobiography slash romance novel to my unwilling and outstandingly rude Vampyre niece.

Welcome to my Hell.

A mysterious darkness is gunning for me and this time it might prevail, but I have little time to worry about that. Instead of seeking it out, I shall simply go about business as usual. If it’s fated, it will find me.

My list is long. Traveling to Earth to promote my bestselling romance novel at an alarming book convention where I must protect my privates from the rabid lady readers is enough to frighten even the Devil. Not to mention, I have to avoid my insane mother like the plague and catch the smart-mouthed, gorgeous soul seller on Earth—who may or may not be someone I’d like to keep.

So today is a day like any other. Punishments must be doled out and chaos must be encouraged. A vacation would be lovely, but there is no rest for the weary… or the evil. Luckily I know how to have an outstanding time doing outrageously bad things. Thank Hades, I’m a handsome bastard.

There is no fated happily ever after for the Prince of Darkness, no matter what ridiculous ending my niece slaps onto my autobiography.

Or is there?

Fate is a bitch, but she usually gets it right.

                                      MY REVIEW

This is one fun mysterious laugh out loud story . What would you do if you were the evil one Satan writing your autobiography and trying to figure out the darkness that is coming after you . Well you end up going to earth to find a soul seller and fight off all the crazy ladies at the biggest book convention in Las Vegas . Just another day for the devil , you think but wrong . He is in for the battle of his life and trying to figure out the little soul seller that he may or may not want to keep .
The gang is back in this installment everyone from Astrid to Ethan and the seven deadly sins even make an appearance to help out dear old dad . Satan is one suave but a little arrogant character that you honestly can't help but fall in love with him . He is deliciously evil but also has a sweet side that we see in this book . He is all about fighting the darkness that is following him until he finally figures it out .  Elle is a smart mouthed sexy as sin soul seller . But there is so much more to her then meets the eye, she is a siren and is being hunted by the trolls and there is someone else after her as well . She is a strong kick ass character that is a little snarky and filled with a whole lot of sass . She is the perfect match for Satan in all ways . They make a great couple
This is a laugh out loud , mystery and romance and a whole lot of fun to read . The author has such a great way of writing . That gets you sucked in and before you know it you are done the book .  I have never laughed so hard as the description of the women at the book convention . That was so hilarious , she had Satan on the run.  These books are a nice light funny read that will make you laugh , I actually snorted a couple of times I was laughing so hard . The scene with Mother Nature and fate in the beauty salon . Smack down wrestling match to trying on lipstick . yeah ladies use your imagination we all know how crazy Mother Nature is .  This book doesn't have a happily ever after yet  I can't wait to see Satan get his happily ever after . So if you want a laugh out loud read check out the HOT DAMNED SERIES

GOOD THURSDAY

Good Thursday all today we are going to review Emir Skalonja's new book THE PLAGUE . Rise of the Dead .

                             BOOK BLURB

Six people find themselves trapped in Love Canal, Niagara Falls, an old toxic waste site and witness the first hours of the plague that brings the dead back to life.

                             MY REVIEW
This book was written after the movie was shot . The author takes us on a scary roller coaster ride that will have you on the edge of your seat . What would you do if you were trapped in a town with 5 other people when the world started to end and the zombies started to come . Would you be strong enough to get out alive . Let me tell you about Jack and Jill and Becky and Tom and how they survived the outbreak in Love Canal .
The characters in this book are very well written and developed  Jack and Jill are boyfriend and girlfriend who are out for some revenge Becky and Tom are brother and sister who are the best of friends .  They work together to try and get out of the town. They are complete oppisites of each other but they work together really well. They are strong and just get stronger as you read the book .
This was a great read , the author takes us on a journey with such twists and turns. You are on the edge of your seat all the way through this book . I can't believe that he had made the movie before he wrote the book . The author did a great job when he developed the characters and set up the story line .  If you want a great story that is also a great movie, You will not be disappointed its a great addition to the zombie genre .

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE

Good Wednesday morning all , I think I have come out the other side of whatever alien bug bit me on the weekend . Thank the heavens for that . Today we are going to review a new author to me . HOLLYWOOD HOMICIDE ( Detective by day book one ) by Kellye Garrett

                         BOOK BLURB

Dayna Anderson doesn't set out to solve a murder. All the semi-famous, mega-broke black actress wants is to help her parents keep their house. After witnessing a deadly hit-and-run, she figures pursuing the fifteen-grand reward isn't the craziest thing a Hollywood actress has done for some cash.
But what starts as simply trying to remember a speeding car soon blossoms into a full-on investigation. As Dayna digs deeper into the victim's life, she wants more than just reward money. She's determined to find the poor woman's killer too. When she connects the accident to a notorious Hollywood crime spree, Dayna chases down leads at paparazzi hot spots, celeb homes and movie premieres. She loves every second—until someone tries to kill her.
And there are no second takes in real life

                         MY REVIEW
This isn't you typical mystery book . It is a light hearted fun read with a good dose of mystery thrown in . Welcome to Dayna Anderson's world . After seeing a deadly hit and run . She decides to solve the mystery for the reward money . She is helping her parents out . Everything is going along great . She is trying to remember the car and then it starts to build into a full fledged investigation. That takes her to the hottest spots in Hollywood its all great until someone tries to kill her . Will she survive and will she find out who did it .
This book had it all , there were twists and turns a mystery and some romance mixed in . Dayna is like most of the women in Hollywood . She has had some success in commercials and now she is working at temp jobs . She is a go getter and will do all to help out her friends and family . She is a strong character and is so fun loving she will get it done when needed .  Her friends are varied everyone from Sienna the fashionista to  Emma the computer hacker to her partner Aurbrey Adams , and ex cop who rides a bike and wears an orange reflective suit
The story is a fast fun read that will keep you reading until there are no pages left to turn . This a cute twist on the cozy mystery story . The author likes to throw out red herrings , where you think you have it figured out and bam you are wrong . Which I really enjoy .  Can't wait to see what the next book is like by this author .

GOOD FRIDAY ALL

Good Friday everyone . Today is a special day for me, I finally got this man corralled and got him to sit down for an interview . Let me introduce you to Keith Montgomery and his book THE SANDRIAN CHRONICLES

Welcome to the blog Keith .
Thank you for having me today, excited to be here

Tell us a little about yourself –
I’m happily married with 4 four legged children. The third of four children, so I guess that makes me a middle child. I’m a Gemini and I’m sure my wife will confirm, I have two personalities and yet one. Sports is my pleasure. The home town Cavs and Indians are of course my favorite teams. I’m a veteran who served in the United States Air Force for four years, stationed at Andrews AFB in Maryland, and served during Desert Storm. I’m a Treker, Star wars fan and my favorite movie is Marvel’s Avengers.

Before we continue I would just like to say a big THANK YOU  for serving your country and keeping the world safe for us all .

What are you working on right now?
I’ve started working on Royal Blood, which is book 3 in a possible series of possibly six books. Also, I’ve begun mapping out the Sandrian Chronicles: The Anthology. I have other projects in my laptop that are currently on the back burner along with an idea for a short story for Maximus Shock Vol. 2, assuming that gets off the ground.

What does your writing process look like.
Chaos! LOL!! There are those who use story boards and such to guide them in the novel creating, but the mad scientist in me has contempt for such order. Only in chaos can true order be found! More often than not, I’m not so much the author of the novel, but a chronicler of events that take place. It often led to twists in Bad Blood then even I didn’t see coming.

Who inspired you to start writing
I’ve always written. But for the longest it was only to entertain myself friends and family. Gradually, I began writing letters to the editor in the local newspaper. From there, I entered a poetry contest. Though I didn’t win, the poem was impressive enough that it was included in the anthology titled The Whirling Sea.

Do you happen to read your reviews and do you respond to any of the bad reviews.
yes I read, all my reviews but so far, out of the reviews I’ve seen, I don’t have and bad reviews. I’m very proud of that and humbled too. In the end, the readers determine how good you are.

What is the best part of the writing / publishing process do you like and which part do you hate?
I don’t know if there’s any part of it I hate. It’s a whole new universe to me. I’m still exploring it and learning and it’s all interesting. I think it’s a good idea that I learn as much about all sides of the process as possible. The day may one day come when I might decide to do for novice authors, what Christina did for me.

If your book was turned into a movie who would play the main characters?
This is an easy and fun question. I’ve actually thought about this already! If my book were made into a movie, with the cast I have in mind, it would have to make a mint just to break even! Here goes:

Adalius- Jason Mamoa                      Kiel- Chris Hemsworth      Taine- Chris Rock or Kevin Hart
Kalleal- Mike Colter                           Maya- Rutina Wesley Trey   Thomas- Omari Hardwick         Trish- Jenifer Lawrence   Anna Longfellow- Charlize Theron    Gil- Sam Elliot
Well, there you are. And that’s a partial list!

I have read this book and so agree with all your actors . Especially Jason Mamoa

if you weren't writing what would you be doing?
Truthfully, I don’t know. There haven’t been many times in my adult life when I wasn’t reading or writing.

What do you feel is your best accomplishment?
Another easy question; my greatest accomplishment was getting my wife to marry me! Second was completing Written in Blood. It was one of the most fulfilling, frustrating, hair pulling thing I’ve ever done, and yet it was a labor of love. I truly enjoyed it. I know it makes no sense , but its true.

DO you have and rituals or favorite times to write?
No, anytime is a good time. No rituals, no preambles, just open the laptop and go.

NOW FOR SOME FAST AND FURIOUS QUESTIONS . UP FOR IT .

COFFEE OR TEA
Chocolate Milk

Favorite junk food?
Pizza. Friends have called me a black Italian!

if you had a super power what would it be?
Teleportation. If I could teleport others with me, I’d never drive again!

What if any secret talents do you have?
That’s classified.

Favorite book and author?
J.R. Ward is my favorite author, she’s the bar I set for my writing. Not sure I have a favorite book but my favorite series is the Black Dagger Brotherhood by J.R. Ward. VERY good reading

What would you tell any aspiring writer out there?
Never give up. The greatest enemy you will most likely face will be your own self-doubt. Don’t listen to that voice, if it tells you you’re not good enough.  Once you start your project, whatever happens, keep going. Lastly when writing, don’t worry about going back and fixing anything you’ve written. Just get the book down on your laptop or paper. Once you finish, then you can go back and fix your errors or inconsistencies, and get ready, because that’s when the REAL writing begins.

Last but not least where can people find you?
I can be found on facebook at

GOOD THURSDAY TO YOU ALL

Good Thursday all . Today we going to take a look at CHESAPEAKE BRIDE by Mariah Stewart

                           BOOK BLURB

Cassidy Logan has sworn off good-looking adventurers, having just divorced the one she’d married. Now working with her father’s construction company to build ecologically friendly, historically accurate homes on the Chesapeake Bay, she’s designing them for Cannonball Island. Knowing there’s been no new construction on the island in almost one hundred years, Cass is sensitive to the heritage and history of the sparsely populated island, and has come up with plans so perfect she’s determined to buy one for herself to live in. Even the fact that Owen Parker—whom she dismisses as a lightweight and a player— seems to be everywhere she goes isn’t enough to deter her from building her dream house.

Owen is and always has been sinfully handsome and wickedly clever, a magnet for mischief as well as the girls in St. Dennis. He’s also a rolling stone, going and doing whatever appeals to him, from flying a mail plane in Alaska to working on a cattle ranch in Australia and a shrimp boat in Louisiana, to surfing and diving in Costa Rica. When an old friend offers him a job salvaging a sunken ship in the Chesapeake, Owen gladly accepts. Something’s been telling him it’s about time to head home to Cannonball Island, and a job is as good an excuse as any. He’s totally smitten with the pretty architect, but it seems he’s finally met a woman who’s immune to his charms. Sooner or later, Owen will have to face the reason why he always runs, because this time, leaving just might be harder than staying.

GOOD MONDAY MORNING ALL

Good Monday everyone , hope you all had a great weekend and stayed dry . Today we are going to review GOING DOWN and MAN CANDY the first book in the five wishes series by Elise Sax .

                         BOOK BLURB

“Elise Sax will win your heart.”—NYT bestelling author Jill Shalvis

"Elise Sax will make you laugh. Her larger-than-life characters jump off the page and make crazy seem like a fun place to hang out."--Christie Craig, New York Times bestselling author of Texas Hold 'Em

“Elise Sax belongs on every bookshelf." -- Melissa Foster, New York Times Bestselling Author

The Five Wishes Series: Novellas about wishes that go terribly wrong…fortunately. Five Wishes...A happy ending is just a coin toss away. Each novella is approximately 100 pages with NO cliffhanger.

Book 1: Going Down:
Marion MacAlister wants to nail her audition, not get nailed. Truly. Honestly. All right...maybe she does want to get nailed, but that's just because her hottie landlord and local diner owner Mack Ryan is confusing her. Can friends become lovers? Especially friends who might not even be friends in the first place?

Book 2: Man Candy:
Raine Harper is in love with Wade Gates. But Wade likes women who are model thin, and Raine is model thin plus a whole lot of pounds. Desperate to make him love her, she trains just a little too hard and passes out in the arms of superstar movie star Dirk Adams. Dirk thinks Raine’s junk in the trunk is perfect and proposes to make Wade jealous by becoming her pretend boyfriend. Pretend soon seems very real. Is Dirk a great actor, or is something really developing between Raine and the movie star?

                      MY REVIEW

    Book one Going Down
This was such a fun read .  Marion and Mack are so fun to read . They are friends but Mack is wanting more and Marion just wants an acting job.  Will they get together or not .
The characters in this short had me on the fence . One min I am wanting to slap Marion because she was so annoying at times . But she does turn it around after the elevator scene . Mack is brooding and oh so hunky and is finally fighting for what he wants . I would love to go fishing with him. Read the story ladies you will understand .
The story is short and fun filled laugh riot .

Book 2 MAN CANDY
This is a really sweet , Raine and Dirk are such a cute couple together . Dirk could care less about the junk in her trunk ,he finds is so sexy . Raine is set on making another man fall for her . Too bad this othe man is a jerk .
I really liked Raine I mean we have all fallen for the guy that wants another type of girl . And do almost anything to get his attention while the perfect guy is right under our noses . Dirk is a sweet hunky guy who would do anything for the girl he likes even be a front for her . He is kind and sweet you just want to hug him and kiss him all night long .
This is a fun read that will hit home to most of us . The wrong guy and what would we do to figure out he is the wrong guy.  While the right guy is right there. The author has a great sense of humor .

Over all I loved both of these stories . Man Candy had a bit more story to it then Going down . There were more characters and it just felt like a better story . Don't get me wrong the first story was hot and the elevator scene was great . I really like the author's writing style , and is so friggen funny . So if you want a good set of stories to read check it out .

I absolutely love Harley Quinn she is my soulmate in a way. She may be psychotic and crazy to the bone but she has come into her own in this series . She takes us on an adventure Harley style . Each story in this book Harley meets and teams up with a different super hero,  The funniest part is when Harley steals Wonder Woman's suit and decides to wear it . Each story is actioned packed and you will love each one of them.
The graphics are awesome and the story lines are so well written  . I am glad that Harley story line is continuing . I feel like Harley is an unsung hero or anti hero in her case. The Harley story line I can see going on and her doing good things and getting into trouble along the way . So if you like HARLEY QUINN and you love super heroes in general check out the series . I promise you that they will bring Harley into your life and have some mischief

GOOD MONDAY ALL

Good Monday all . hope your long weekend has been great . I have a great shifter book for you today . DESERT WOLF  by Linda Thomas Sundstrom.

                         BOOK BLURB

WEREWOLVES OF THE WILD WEST
Grant Wade is a former Texas Ranger. He's also a Lycan Alpha and, in the ghost town of Desperado, he's found a perfect refuge for his desert pack and a place to shelter other werewolves in need of a safe place.
Determined to reclaim her full birthright, Paxton Hall goes home for the first time in decades. Her plan to strike a deal with Desperado's new owner doesn't work any better than her attempts to resist this sexy cowboy. Even as she falls for him, Paxton has no idea what he's trying to protect her from—his animal desire, her own true nature and a rogue predator on the prowl…

                       MY REVIEW
Desert wolf is such a good read, It starts off with a bang and keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole read too . Meet Grant Wade a alpha of a pack that is hidden in the desert. He is also an ex Texas ranger and as hot as sin . Paxton just inherited the land the ghost town is on and wants to sell  . Will they survive each other and will they survive the rogue that is on the prowl.
I love the characters in this book . The author has written such complex, well developed characters . Paxton Hall is such a city girl when she first comes out to the desert to see her land . As you read you find out there is more to Paxton that she even knows and we see her grow and fall in love with everything desert even the tall ex Texas ranger Grant. Now ladies he is hot and I mean swoon worthy and he is commanding in his own way. The sparks fly between these two but there are some things that need to be taken care of first .
The story is a nice fast read for those late autumn days . We go on a journey with the characters in this book . The author has a way of writing that will keep you reading all through the night .   I adore shifters and this book was a great page turner . I read it in an afternoon , couldn't put it down  I had to find out the answers to the questions that kept popping up and when I did it was like wow who knew .  And who doesn't like some romance thrown in for good measure . So if you want a great read for the chilly fall night check it out
