GOOD MORNING ALL ITS A VANILLA LATTE TUESDAY

Good morning all, well I just want to say its still dam cold out so what does this girl do, she snuggles down and reads three books , yes I say three books. So today I am reviewing
THE UNBORN by Amber Lynn Natusch.

BOOK BLURB
Khara has spent centuries discovering everything about the Underworld―except her place in it. But when she’s ripped from her home, solving the riddle of her origins becomes more important than ever. With evil stalking her through the dark alleys of Detroit, she finds salvation from an unlikely source: a group of immortal warriors sworn to protect the city. Khara needs their help to unravel the tangled secrets of who and what she is—secrets many seem willing to kill for. But time is running out, and the closer she gets to the truth, the closer necessity binds her to an arrogant fallen angel.
Can their shaky alliance withstand that which threatens her, or will her soul fall victim to the unholy forces that hunt her―those that seek the Unborn?

MY REVIEW
This is the first book I have read from this author. She mixes the gods and goddess's of Greek mythology  in this urban fantasy book . And I am now going to go and read the rest of her books. She takes us on a fuel filled adventure. Yes it does start out a little slow and you wonder what is going on with the lead character Khara , but it does pick up and then you won't be putting it down.
There are a lot of characters in this book and each and everyone of them has his part to play in keeping Khara safe. They reveal that they are immortal warriors that are fighting unholy forces.
She also finds out that she is an unborn which makes her very desirable.
This could be read as a stand alone book as I read it as but have been told by others to read her caged series to help understand some of the characters that are in this book. Which is good with me hehehehe. You know any excuse to find a new author and read her work is ok to me.
The author mixes Greek gods and goddess's and angels . She did a really great job mixing the two and the setting works so well. There is no romance in the book but she does point us in the direction of a potential love triangle. There is alpha males and some fighting also a young woman trying to figure out who and what she is. The author made me fall in love with Oz and Khara.. The setting is in Detroit , which actually helps this story out, I liked it .
This isn't a story about a defenseless girl living with a bunch of warriors. They are all kiss ass fighters and there is a lot of fighting and some blood. There are some really scary supernatural enemies. There is also family and finding out who you truly are. So if you like a mixture of greek gods, goddess's and angels both dark and light . So if you like a great urban fantasy. Check out Amber Lyn Natusche books . You wont be disappointed .
