HAPPY FRIDAY ALL

WOOHOOO IT IS FRIDAY Weekend is on its way and this girl couldn't be happier. Its been so busy around the farm. So I am getting caught up on all things book related. Today's book is Murder IN THE PARK by Rowan Wolfe.

BOOK BLURB
"A deputy legal counsel to the White House is found dead in Fort Marcy Park, and after an investigation marred with mistakes and inconsistencies, his death is finally ruled a suicide.

Eight years later, a new president is determined to clean-up all his predecessor’s “dirty laundry” by offering the mission to the newly promoted Lt. Col. Michael Correa, U.S. Army Special Forces.

“Seeing as who could be implicated in Victor Fallon’s death, I thought you’d jump at the chance,” he tells Michael. Reluctantly accepting the covert mission, along with a small, handpicked team, the commander-in-chief reminds Michael that “the jungle’s now concrete and the enemy wears suits.”

After reading the official report on Fallon’s death, Michael’s first stop is the former first lady, Harriet Pearson, who from the outset begins to plot with CIA deputy director, Charles Ashburn, on ways to rid themselves of Michael - permanently.

The terrorist attacks on 9/11 interrupt the mission, but eleven months later, Michael resurfaces, more determined than ever to expose Harriet’s illegal activities. The list of homicides quickly grows. With an undercover DEA agent now in the mix, a high seas kidnapping that involves the U.S. Coast Guard, and a narcotics detective from Miami P.D., the investigation gathers speed. When the ‘Most Wanted’ leader of a Colombian drug cartel is also implicated, Michael resorts to unleashing his Special Forces teammates, with the help of a Global Hawk UAV, in a high-risk takedown. All Michael and the team have to do, while connecting all the dots, is stay alive and prevent Michael’s father, Francis, the returning director of the CIA, from learning too much.

Will the former first lady get away with murder?

The outcome is guaranteed to surprise you.

This is the third book in the series, and the reader will again meet some familiar characters in Rowan Wolfe’s well-researched and fast-paced thriller.

MY REVIEW
This is the third book in the series, I got this book to review and went and read the first two books to keep everything straight in my head. This is a great book an edge of your seat political thriller.
It starts off with a bang as deputy legal counsel is found dead in the park. The investigation gets so muddled up with mistakes that the death is considered suicide. Well you all start thinking maybe it was but as you start piecing things together. But then it comes to eight years later and the new president wants to clean up all of the last president's screw ups. This is where we meet  Michael Correa comes in, he is with special forces and other messes of the past president. Now this is where we get really good . The past president was mixed up with some drug cartels. There is so much intrigue going on you will stay on the edge of your seat as you read
This is the third book in the series and wow Rowan takes you on a very emotional ride. You are never at a loss of trying to figure out what is going on from one page to another. We travel all over and rarely stay in the same spot for more then three to four pages at a time. So you have to be on your toes as you read. This is a gritty realistic book. You can actually think that this could happen. You never know what is lurking in the back rooms of any political party.
The characters from the first book do make appearances in this book also . So you might want to read the first two books to help make sense of this third one .All Rowan's characters are strong realistic characters. You have the good guys and the not so good guys ,the you have the absolute evil men. And in this book they are very evil. You will scream at your  e reader with this book.
Trust me you will not be disappointed in this book , if you like intriguing action packed political
thrillers, I will say you should get this whole series of books. Start at the beginning. This would be a great book for anyone who loves a great thriller.  So give it a chance and I bet you wont be disappointed
