welcome to a frigid thursday all

Well its another frigid day here on the ranch. Been up since four fighting frozen pipes and water troughs. Yes I know life on the farm is just so exciting , isn't it. Well it it is most days but then there are the days. Where you just curl up on the couch under your warm blankets with a good cup of tea , a good piece of chocolate and read. And read I did. The last 4 days I have read until I had to unglue my eyeballs lol. I have found myself engulfed in a new series by a new author.  THE BOOK WAITRESS SERIES  by Deena Remeil , has sucked me in big time . I honestly think I read the first three books in a day and a half. Why did I do that you are probably asking yourself right now.
Well I was hooked from the second page. These books were so not what I was thinking they were. They so surpassed what I was expecting.
The first book THE BOOK WAITRESS.
Introduces us to Camille a shy librarian who is sent to work on an island library. Not knowing that she is part of a bigger plan. There are two ghosts that help and plague her at work . A cute young journalist , Derek. researching a cult that was on the island. Lets just say there are demons, devil worship , marked ones and love in the first book
Book two DEVIL DV TOUR
This book picks up right after the rescue attempt and what happens to poor Camille and how she adjusts the hell on earth she is going through. As satan tries to get her to come to him .
book Three DEMON ALA MODE
This by far is the best of the books so far. We have a new character Jaxsynn who came for hell to help Camille out. He is a freeze demon and the only one that could help Camille when her marks start flairing up. There is jealousy running amock in this book . Derek does something so stupid you just want to slap him for being a stupid jealous boyfriend. They prepare for the hell that will be coming . As they start training to be the ultimate  demon fighting squad. With Camille and Jax doing the killing and Derek and the rest going on the quest to find the thirteen relics to close the portal to hell.
the fourth book  A HUNTING WE WILL GO
Has Camille and Jax becoming closer then ever. Satan trying to get Camille through any water source you can think of. Just waiting till he tries to get her through a water puddle lol. Derek Arnie and Mal are on the hunt for the relics. Camille has become a real demon hunting god. Along with Jax . Now only if they all will survive the hell that's going on.
These books are a great fast read , Camille is a combination of Buffy the vampire slayer and Cher from clueless. She starts out all prim and proper and a little naïve and then is transformed into one bad ass demon killing machine . With a few bumps and bruises along the way
If you want a great read and are tired of the oversexed books out there. Please check out this series . I know you wont be disappointed

WHAT A WEEKEND

Wow this girl had a busy weekend. First thing first had to take a brand new tire from the truck into to get fixed , wasn't non too happy. Then went to a sweet sixteen party and had a blast with family and friends. All while reading a cool book about dragons, Celtic gods , old magic and aliens

BOOK BLURB
Clinging to their courage in a crumbling world, Aislinn and Fionn vow to save Earth, no matter what it takes.

In a post-apocalyptic world where most people have been slaughtered, the Celtic gods and a few humans with magic are all that stand between survival and Earth falling into alien hands. The combination of dark sorcery leveraged by the enemy is daunting. Destruction is all but certain if the small enclaves of humans who are left can’t get past their distrust of the Celts.

Captured by the enemy, Aislinn Lenear wonders if she’ll ever see her bond wolf or Fionn, a Celtic god, again. She’s had nothing but her wits to rely on for years. They haven’t failed her yet, but escape from her current predicament seems remote.

An enticing blend of urban fantasy and romance, this second volume of the Earth Reclaimed Series provides fertile ground for Aislinn and Fionn’s relationship to deepen. Headstrong and independent, the pair run up against each other’s demands time and time again. Fireworks spark. In the end, they learn to savor every moment in a bittersweet world where each day may well be the last.

MY REVIEW

I was given this book as an ARC for review. Well I was so surprised by this book. I mean who wouldn't be surprised it has it all,
There are Celtic Gods, hot men encased in leather, what red blooded woman doesn't like that. There is magic dark and light. Oh also  did I mention there are Dragons , yes dragons. I never thought I would be caught up in a story like this before.
It starts as Aislinn is held captive by the dark lords and Fionn her mate, her wolf are trying to find her. As they find each other again. The feelings they have for each other deepens and they have to navigate those as they continue to fight Lemurians , the aliens killing off the planets and enslaving the people.  They have to show the people that the celtic Gods are not like the dard lords . Aislinn must bond with the dragon that is sent to watch over her as her guardian.  Also must come to grips with the feelings that she has for Fionn and what he means to her. They will come to terms with the decisions that must be made and how they will save the world .
I loved the way Anne weaves a story of Celtic Gods and dragons. I just loved way she paints a picture with the words . You can almost here the Irish Broques of Fionn and the other Gods. Dewi the wise cracking dragon just adds another element to the story. You just don't know if she is actually good or evil. Which you kinda wonder about sometimes . I really liked this book and would recommend the series to anyone who wants a great read about the end of the world mixed Celtic lore and of course aliens . This is the series for you .  Check them out . I will say you won't be disappointed in the least . I know I wasn't.  This is a book gave me a book hangover.

GOOD SUNDAY MORNING ALL

There are going to be two blog posts today cause I was so busy yesterday that I forgot to  post the second part of my author shout out . I feel so bad that I forgot so here is the second shout out for Sarah Daltry

Title: Lily of the Valley

This isn’t a sweet and innocent coming of age story. If dirty talk, bedroom toys, and threesomes offend you… this is not your book. There are also no billionaires, strippers, or virgins. This is just the story of typical college kids trying to connect to each other.

“No one tells you about pain. They tell you that it hurts, that sometimes it’s consuming. What they don’t tell you is that it’s not the pain that can kill you. It’s the uncomfortable numbness that follows, the weakness in your body when you realize your lungs may stop taking in air and you just can’t exert enough energy to care. It’s the way taste and color and smell fade from the world and all you’re left with is a sepia print of misery. That’s when the shift starts – the movement from passive to active. I fall asleep, hoping that the morning will bring back the pain. At least the pain is a thing.”

Plagued by a dark past, Jack sees college as a way out. Desperate to escape the area where he grew up, the people who know his secrets, and his own family, he deals with his problems through alcohol and meaningless sex.

When he first sees Lily, she’s the epitome of everything he hates. Yet something about her makes Jack rethink everything he knows and assumes about other people. Now, with the help of his best friend and lover, Jack has to decide if he wants to pursue something that he knows will only end ba
Can Lily be one of the few people who can see Jack for who he really is – or will his darkness be too much for her to handle? And even if she can, can Jack overcome what the darkness does to him when he's pushed too far into it?
dly.

BOOK EXCERPT

My grandmother is so happy that I agreed to visit with my father on my way back to school that I almost feel okay with the decision. Until we reach the prison and the familiar sickness returns. I can’t turn around now and say I don’t want to go in, but the sky is steel grey and I wonder why it’s never sunny when I come here. Even the weather hates me.
She has a hat on, because it’s a prison day, and I don’t have the heart to tell her that she tries to look nice for a group of lowlifes. I feel like somewhere in her head she convinces herself that she looks like she’s going to church or something and that people will think that’s what she’s doing. She seems to believe that if other people assume she’s not the mother-in-law of a killer, then she’s not the mother-in-law of a killer.
The security check is backed up today because some guy is arguing with the guard about his belt. They want him to leave it at the entrance, since it keeps setting off the metal detectors, but he’s apparently really attached to the stupid thing and doesn’t want to give it up. They argue back and forth and it’s the dumbest conversation I’ve ever heard. And I go to college with frat boys.

“Buddy, you have to take off the belt and leave it, or you can’t get in,” the guard explains. “Unless you can pass through here without setting off the machines, you aren’t going to see anyone.”
“You’re just trying to rob me. You’re all part of the system, man, and I ain’t giving you shit.”

“You’ll get the thing back,” the guard tries to reason.

GOOD MORNING ALL HOPE YOU HAVE A WONDERFUL FRIDAY

Good day all, hope today finds you all well. I have been reading like a book worm on fire lately. There have been so many good books that have come out this past week . The one book that came out, I just had to read in one sitting is BLOODBATH by Rachel Rawlings. This book has it all, witches , werewolves vampires fairies and a hunter .

BOOK BLURB
A serial killer in Salem? Not for decades, but the bodies are piling up and all signs point in one direction. Rogue vampire. Except things aren't always what they seem, especially in a murder investigation.

With her current relationship on the rocks, her father playing match-maker and her neighbor tossing his hat in the ring, the body count isn't the only thing on the rise. Maurin is neck deep in magic, mayhem and murder.

Can she catch the killer before the killer catches her? One things for certain, when hunting vampires there will be blood.

MY REVIEW
BLOODBATH is the fourth installment of the Maurin Kincade series. I was so excited when this book came out. I have been waiting to find out what has happened to Maurin, Aiden and Cash since the wedding in book three. NO not Maurin's wedding by the way .  the story picks up right where things were left off.  Maurin trying to figure out what her relationship with vampire Aiden is or isn't . Cash her sexy downstairs neighbor has been flirting up a storm with her, by the way Cash is the new alpha werewolf . Now there is a seriel killer in town. Killing young brunettes , draining them of all their blood.  Maurin is called up by the council to find out what is happening .  Enter Caligula a Roman vampire , well you all know the story of Caligula , and his child Bathory. they both are crazy and I mean crazy. Caligula has taken a fancy to Maurin. will she make it out alive . Will they be able to take down the vampires before anyone else dies .
I found Rachel's books through a friend and was glad I picked them up . cause once I started reading I couldn't stop. The stories are a great read for just about anyone .
Rachel weaves a great paranormal story . Her characters are tough, Maurin is a tough heroine that takes no one prisoner. When Aiden ticked her off , she beat the crap out of the vampire. She is still finding herself , which makes her likable. She does have her faults but she knows that she is special and will do everything to prove that she is capable. The men in her life are all alphas in their own right. Rachel does a great job portraying the jealousy between the men in her life. I like that the only constant companion in her life is Conry her trusty guaridian dog, that looks like a cross between a great dane and a bear. I mean nothing comes between a girl and her dog.
If you want a good set of books to read check out her series,
book one THE MORRIGANA
book two WITCH HUNT
book three WOLFSBANE
book four  BLOOD BATH
The first three books are in a boxed set right now  and BloodBath is out right now
So check them out I promise you will not be disappointed one bit

18+ New Adult romance
This isn’t a sweet and innocent coming of age story. If dirty talk, bedroom toys, and threesomes offend you… this is not your book. There are also no billionaires, strippers, or virgins. This is just the story of typical college kids trying to connect to each other.

“No one tells you when you start school just how homesick you will be, or how hard it will be to start life over with no direction and no friends or family. No one says that becoming your own person is terrifying.”
Lily Drummond has never wanted anything but Derek, her brother's best friend. When she chooses to go to a different college than him after a year together, she thinks nothing will change. However, she soon finds that she's not sure who she's supposed to be, and she also doesn't think he's what he was.

Things grow more complicated when Lily meets Jack. If Derek is the guy who fits into her plans, Jack is the guy who makes plans seem irrelevant. Not only is Lily devastatingly attracted to Jack, but something about him also makes her want to know him, and not just physically. Jack, however, has had a rough road, and he's afraid to let Lily in.

As Jack finally begins to open up, though, Derek reminds Lily of what they have worth fighting for. Lily is left standing in the middle, but she's also left to decide what part of her life belongs to her. Can she find love without losing herself completely?

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Sarah Daltry writes about the regular people who populate our lives. She's written works in various genres - romance, erotica, fantasy, horror. Genre isn't as important as telling a story about people and how their lives unfold. Sarah tends to focus on YA/NA characters but she's been known to shake it up. Most of her stories are about relationships - romantic, familial, friendly - because love and empathy are the foundation of life. It doesn't matter if the story is set in contemporary NY, historical Britain, or a fantasy world in the future - human beings are most interesting in the ways they interact with others. This is the principle behind all of Sarah's stories.

Sarah has spent most of her life in school, from her BA and MA in English and writing to teaching both at the high school and college level. She also loves studying art history and really anything because learning is fun.

When Sarah isn't writing, she tends to waste a lot of time checking Facebook for pictures of cats, shooting virtual zombies, and simply staring out the window.

HAVE YOU EVER READ A BOOK THAT YOU JUST CAN'T PUT DOWN

Question for all of you out there. Have you ever read a book that you just couldn't put down. The book that will make you stay up all night and just to see what happens to the characters. There have been a few books that I have risked book hangover for and I am adding another one to the list.
I bought SHADOWBOXER by Cari Quinn. I was hearing so much about it on a facebook page I am a part of . I was warned once I start it I would not put it down. They were correct on that one.

BOOK BLURB

She's in for the fight of her life...with the man who only wants to be her lover.

Fighter Mia Anderson has faced the dark side of life and survived. But just getting by is no longer enough. To fund her new life with her baby sister, she's determined to beat the reigning king of the male fighters in New York's underground MMA circuit, Tray "Fox" Knox.

Tray refuses to fight a woman, until he learns Mia's tougher than anyone he has ever known. He soon realizes he wants more from her than blows and blood, and he's willing to hit below the belt to get it. He'll fight her, but if he wins, she spends the night in his bed. All night long, his rules. No tapping out.

Mia agrees, certain that he'll lose. What she doesn't realize is that Tray loves to fight dirty...and that this match may end up being the most important one of their lives.

Warning: please be advised this book contains content some may find triggering (past sexual trauma) and also contains graphic sex and language that may not be suitable for underage readers.

On The Ropes, book 2, out summer 2014

MY REVIEW
What can I say about this book. I was warned by a lot of people that it was dark . I didn't realize how dark it was. Mia has seen such a dark life. She has been through so much in her life. She becomes a MMA fighter to help ease the pain from her past .Wanting to help her younger sister and her to disappear from the darkness. Enters Tray the fox another MMA the man she wants to fight to win the title so she can just leave . They meet one night at the bar where she works and thing proceed from there. She is smitten with the hot man in front of her but they are dealing with the darkness in their lives.
Will they survive the past to try and have a future .
This book was tearing from my heart strings from the very beginning of the story. To have that much pain and darkness just tore at my heart. Cari brought the characters to life with such a rawness and a passion. Cari wrote Mia with such a intensity that made you feel for her and wanted to help her out of the darkness. She captured the struggle that Mia has just trying to be normal , or normal in her eyes . Tray is the alpha that is actually has a heart and his own brand of darkness that he is keeping under control also. These two characters will claw and fight their way into your hearts .
Cari has said that writing the character of Mia, helped heal her in so many different ways  and Mia gave  Cari her sense of hope back.
I will tell you I was nervous about reading this book but so happy I did. I want everyone who likes very dark characters who have to fight their way to normal. Oh yeah they have some great sex scenes in there also. So give this book a try and see what you think . I suspect you will not be disappointed

GOOD TUESDAY EVERYONE

Hi all, welcome to Tuesday, the sun is shining and there is no wind ,thank the gods for that one. Its hard getting going after a three day weekend. Spent the weekend reading a great new book by Sandy Wolters , I got an arc of the new comtemporay romance to review and I was glad I did,

BOOK BLURB
Her marriage a disaster, Lilly closes the door to her personal life. Can meeting Bruce open a door to a new life or will her fear shut her off from love?

All Lilly has ever wanted to do is sing, but being an internationally famous superstar has turned her life into a living nightmare. Closing the door on her destructive marriage, she runs to her best friend's rural home in northern Arizona, hoping to stay out of the public's eye and sort out her life.

Bruce Silk, a Flagstaff police officer, doesn't approve of his brother's rakish rock star lifestyle but still keeps an eye on his remote home when he's out on tour. More than once he's had to arrest groupies who invaded the property to steal some small memento from the famous Clay Silk. So why does he feel sucker-punched when he slaps the cuffs on this latest trespasser?

When One Door Closes is the first book in the “Rock Star Series.” Another Door Opens, the second book, will be released in mid-2014. Both books are stand-alone novels.

Her marriage a disaster, Lilly closes the door to her personal life. Can meeting Bruce open a door to a new life or will her fear shut her off from love?

MY REVIEW

Have you ever believed in love at first sight, well if you didn't you will after you read this book . Lily is staying at her best friends house in the country . When she is arrested by hunky cop Bruce, who happens to be Clay's brother, Little does he know that Lily will not only take his breath away she will also steal his heart.
This book had me laughing hard example Barney the dog running Lily over when they first met.
This is Barney , so now you understand why I was laughing so hard when I read that scene
I think that Martha the housekeeper stole the book for me . From knocking Lily out when she first meets Lily, to doting on everyone in the family like a mother hen. She just always seems to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Leading to some very comical situation. The Silk brothers are very hot sexy men. Clay is the rock n roll god that is Lily's best friend, and Bruce who steals her heart .
They both only want to protect and love her in their own ways.
There are so many emotions in this book, You are happy, sad , angry and laughing in a matter of
pages . You won't put the book down. The only sad thing is that it has to end. There are a few loose ends in the book. Like what happens to Clay and Martha. The only thing I can say is Sandy can write a good story . So if you want a good read for a winter night. Give this one a try . I promise you will end up with a book hangover if you start this before going to bed. Also trust me you will want to snuggle with barney

well i hope that everyone had a great valentines day

Well it is the day after Valentine's day. Had my fill of chocolate and cinnamon hearts. Hubby and I had a great night of snuggling and me surfing amazon trying out how to spend my gift cards in a way that will give me the most books. Trust me if you look in the right places you can get boxed sets and that for cheap like .99 cents cheap.  I was one pretty happy girl by the time I was done. Even preordered a couple of books that I am waiting on.
I also got finished a good book by a Canadian author, I just found out about here and she is actually . as us Canadians say. my neighbor. Even though she lives one province over lol. So I would like to introduce you all to CHAMPAGNE AND LEMON DROPS by Jean Oram

BOOK BLURB

One woman. Two men. One meddling small town.

Raised by her older sister in the small town of Blueberry Springs, all Beth Wilkinson wants is to create a family so big she’ll never be alone. Things are going great until her accountant fiancé, Oz, experiences a family trauma, forcing him to rethink everything from his own career to their nuptial plans—leaving Beth alone.

As Beth works to rediscover her former bold and independent self in hopes of reattracting Oz, she catches the eye of the charming new city doctor, Nash. Not only does he see her as she’d like to be seen, but he knows exactly what he wants from life—and that includes Beth.

Torn between the two men, as well as two versions of herself, Beth discovers that love and dreams are much more complicated than they seem.

MY REVIEW

Meet the citizens of Blueberry springs. A small town where nothing is kept secret for long. Beth a small town recreational therapist , Oz her small town fiancé , who needs a break to figure things out . Then there is Nash the hot big city doctor who is there for Beth in her hours of need when trying to figure out what Oz wants out of life. As they work their way through the ups and downs of small town life and the gossip that eventually gets spread around. Will they survive it and will Beth actually get married , You will have to read this book
I found this book and author at a book release party. I saw the cover and thought why not give it a try . It was free on amazon so what was I going to loose if I happen to not like it. Well I was wrong I loved it . The characters were funny and sweet. I mean how many women have had their boyfriends of significant others say , HEY I NEED A BREAK  to get my head screwed on straight. Then us girls are like well what did I do wrong or can I help him with his journey of self discovery. Those are the feelings that Beth is having in spades. She doesn't know what to do. Should she help Oz or start living her life to the fullest. Nash helps her out with the living her life to the fullest but is he the right man for Beth. I thought so at first but then you start to have your doubts about Nash also. Beth wants the white picket fence and the two children but are either of those men even worthy of her love.
Jean has wove a special story about small town life and the characters that live there. We all have those people whose life it is to gossip and stick their noses into everything. The characters that Jean has written are flawed but also very lovable.
So if you want a great bath tub, curl up on the couch or even beach read . If you love romance and small town living. This is the book for you. Just a warning don't start this book before you go to sleep cause you will end up with a book hangover , cause once you start there will be no sleeping for you
I give this book 4.5 out of 5

OK DAY TWO OF LOVE IS IN THE AIR

Hey all its Thursday and Valentine's day is tomorrow. Hope all you men are ready with those e readers and gift cards to give your lady love. I know my hubby has something but won't tell me anything. So for todays book . RAW by Belle Aurora. This is not a love story it is about a love story gone wrong

BOOK BLURB

***Author Note: This is not a love story. This is a story of love gone wrong.***

Growing up the way I did, you’d think I’d be more screwed up than what I actually am.
Soon as I turned sixteen, I left that bump in the road I called home and took my chances on the street.
Best decision I ever made.
Now, at the age of twenty six, I’m educated, employed and damn good at my job.
My friends have become my family. Like me, they know what it’s like to grow up unloved.
But the saying is true.
The world makes way for those who know where they are going.
That’s me.
I know where I’m going and I’ll get there eventually. On my own terms and at my own pace.
But then there’s him.
I feel his eyes on me. I see him hiding in plain sight. He watches me.
He makes me feel.
It’s unconventional.
But it’s real.

I’m sure you’re wondering how a person falls in love with their stalker.
So am I.

This isn’t a story.

This is my life.

***This book includes situations that some may find uncomfortable.

MY REVIEW

When I got this book , I was listening to others talk in a book club. They were all saying how good it was and so I decided to give it a try . Boy I was glad I did. This book is twisted. Lexi our heroine first meets Twitch when she was six years old. She finds him in her back yard bleeding so she helps him out. Twitch ( his real name is Antonio Falcon) remembers her, As they both have very very crappy lives.. Twitch on the street at 16 and Lexi running away and ends up in Austraila with her foster mother. Fast forward. We find Lexi working for social services helping kids in need out . One day she senses someone watching her. When she gets home she is attacked and Twitch is there sto save her. As we find out he is her stalker and also a big wig in the drug trade . With the front of a plastics factory. As they start out with their relationship. Twitch is a dominant that wants to make Lexi his play toy. He wants to destroy her in many ways. Will they survive the whole relationship or will they actually come to love each other
This book is twisted and I mean twisted. From the very beginning when little Lexi helps Twitch after she sees him in her back yard. To both of them growing up to be very different people.  Lexi the good girl and Twitch the hard nosed dominant , stalker. Who by the way is really sexy but still a stalker. I mean who lets their stalker into their house, Yes he did save her life but still he is a stalker. I kinda wanted to slap Lexi when she let him in and continued to have him in her house. But I digress. We do find out he is more then a stalker , and you do kind of feel a little bit better.
Belle has weaved a tale of two people that are desperate to be loved and that they are bound to be what they want to each other. You can feel the warring that is going on with Lexi. She is so torn between what Twitch makes her feel and her moral compass saying that Twitch is so bad for her. The way Belle builds it up to the twist at the end. It actually made me tear up at the end. You want to cheer for them even though we know that the love won't last for either of them . The act that made Lexi finally realize that Twitch and her couldn't be is so heart breaking , I am very glad that I picked up this book and took the chance. This is another book that gave me a book hangover. Cause I couldn't put it down. You really wanted to know what would happen and if they really do get the HAPPILY EVER AFTER. Which is all anyone ever wants.
If you want a twisted tale of a love story that goes wrong. Please give RAW  a chance. Trust me you won't be disappointed .
I give this book a 5 out of 5 stars

LOVE IS IN THE AIR

Well it finally hit me the ooey gooey love bug, Being so close to Valentine's day , I decided to read some ooey gooey love stories. Why you may ask , well everyone needs a dose of cute boys and the girls who want them. Now they are the bodice rippers that are usually go along with a love story. This one is about love needs a little help along the way from the main man himself CUPID. Yes that diaper wearing bow shooting little cherub.
Serendipity Falls by Patrice Wilton is that book

BOOK BLURB

Serendipity Falls is the first book in a sexy new romantic comedy series by Patrice Wilton. Romance blooms in the small town of Serendipity Falls in the foothills of Mammoth, California. There’s a wedding a month and divorces are non existent. Out-of-towners are flocking in on weekends to visit, and perhaps find love, speculating on whether it’s the natural spring water or something in the air. Whatever it is, they hope to find it.
Tara Reynolds is a new pastry chef for the mountain resort, and love is the last thing on her mind when she arrives for the winter, but the handsome Olympian skier who owns a local bar has become quite irresistible. Can the mysterious forces in this town unite this couple who are fighting it every step of the way?

MY REVIEW
This is a very cute book/ Did you know that cupid lives in Serendipity Falls . He is a meddlesome little guy who loves to match make. Enter Tara and Devon. two unlikely people who meet in the restaurant in Serendipity and cupid does his magic. But my goodness does he have his work cut out for these two cause they are fighting him left right and center, They blame it on the water and that they aren't right for each other. Will they make it or not
This is a good read for a winters night with a good glass of wine and some chocolate, The author has three points of view going on , Tara's Devon's and of course that little cherub . He makes commentaries as he pushes them together, Usually while he is eating .  They are drawn together and can't get rid of each other but at they try and have sex things go wrong way wrong. There are eruptions at a mere touch and orgasms happening by looking at each other. Patrice has them working on trying to become what the other person wants. LIke any good reader would do , you cheer for them and you want to punch out anyone that comes between them. The only thing I felt was off what they came together and then the beautiful woman comes in and tries to break them up. Which is good for a love story we need this . To break up the gooshiness that is happening..  Then the realization that she loves him after a tragedy . I guess what I am saying is got to love the man who will ge all gooey and gushes after you every now and then . In real life or in a book , we al want to be wanted
If you want a good winter nights read check it out. Giggle at cupid and keep love alive
4 out 5 stars for me

Gift cards for either book stores or on line book stores , trust me on this with the books coming out in the next week , you will really want to get those gift cards. .
You can also buy her a new book light for those late night reading that she will be doing.
A nice fuzzy blanket that she can cuddle with while reading that steamy romance novel.
A new e reader is a must if you want to give that reader in your life the ultimate gift. A girl can never have enough e readers
There is also the comfy pajama bottoms and shirt , so she can read in comfort.
There is also her favorite chocolates and wine if you really want to go that way , but if you do that remember she wont share with you. She will save every bit of if for when she is reading her favorite steaming novel

ok if you have heard the hype about this first time authors book

Ok it is Sunday, and what would I be doing on a Sunday . Yes I admit it , I was reading a haunting new book by a first time author Jason Luke. I started it this morning at 7:30 and finished it at 12 noon. I didn't even move until I turned the very last page. Yes it a page turner I must admit. Here is what INTERVIEW WITH A MASTER is all about

BOOK BLURB

It's the interview like no other.
It's the interview of a lifetime.
It's THE Interview with a Master.
When Jonah Noble reveals details of his life within the world of BDSM, the tale he tells is intensely erotic, profoundly sensual, and brutally honest.
This is His world. His way.
There is only one question the man will not answer…

(BDSM erotica from a man's POV, written by a man. Contains some explicit language)

MY REVIEW
Ok what can I say about this book besides it gives a honest look at BDSM.  Jonah is a dom who is letting his life ad a dom , be written for a newspaper article. Leticia is the young woman doing the interviewing. Jonah tells her all about the BDSM lifestyle and the one word that makes it all that much better ANTICIPATION  , he tells her all about the lifestyle and the rules that go along with any part of the lifestyle, But there is part of him that is yearning for someone he could love. As they go along you find them starting to fall for each other but their is a line Jonah won't cross
When I actually started reading this book I will admit I was a little leery . I have read other books on the lifestyle and I was scared that it was going to turn out like the rest of them . We all know what group of books I am talking about so I won't even say it.  As I started reading I was greatly humbled there was no young virgins having conversations with their so called inner goddess's . A man child with a horrible past life that is making him act this way. There was no acting like a child when one doesn't get his own way.  This book was full on honest truths about the lifestyle. what is expected from the dom and his sub. With real rules that are set out in the lifetime.
The author weaves a story on the lifestyle and what is desired by both parties. I was moved by the honesty and the emotion that came through on both Jonah and Leticia.  Who knew that just reading a conversation on having sex could be such a turn on. Jason has done that with this book.  There was a twist at the end that I didn't see coming. I hope that this isn't the end of the story for these two, I need to know what will happen.
This is for you Jason Luke , thank your Sir
I know a lot of you are like shaking your head at me but don't . Go out and get this book put it on your TBR LIST , Trust me when you read this you will learn a lot about yourself from the pages
I give this book a 5 star rating

its saturday night and lets have some fun with gods and godes's

Today's book is by Steve Lebel called BERNIE AND THE PUTTY, What would you do if you are a young god an have to go to work like everyone else, Well Bernie is a builder  of universes and has some trouble along the way, I was honored to get this book as part of a blog tour .

BOOK BLURB
How can you stop a god bent on destroying everything... even if you are a god?

This humorous fantasy explores a world where Gods and Goddesses go to school, fall in love, and struggle with bad bosses and horrible bullies while designing complex universes.

Meet Bernie, God School’s latest graduate, described by his teachers as careless and lacking focus, yet lucky enough to land a job building a sun with three planets.

Meet Shemal, the boss who eats young gods for breakfast. When Shemal isn’t terrorizing Bernie, our young god has to deal with Billy. Think Satan is God’s adversary? Billy’s the Bully God with a grudge and a plan to sabotage Bernie’s universe with mysterious asteroids, volcanoes and more.

If you enjoy fantasy and science-fiction and the twilight of the gods, this book will challenge everything you know in this terrific page turner.

MY REVIEW
I was honored to get this book to review for the books to curl up with blog. I have to say I was very surprised at this book . It had me hooked for the first chapter. Bernie is a young god just finishing god school. Where he is on to bigger and better things working for the company as a builder. He is the builder of new universes and life forms. But with every bit of good there is a lot of bad , That bad comes in the form of Billy, The bully from school. Bernie doesn't get a long with Billy especially after Bernie punched him. See Bernie is a loner after he had to move after his parents divorce. He works hard and gets through school. When he starts at the company , he has his best friend his soon to be girlfriend to help him out. But , as he starts building his world some one is there to sabatoge him and all the progress Bernie has done. Will Bernie create his universe or will he be fired, You will have to read the book to find out .
Steve Lebel. has written a great story of young gods and goddess's and how they have to work . They head to their jobs everyday , just like us lonely mortals do. Which makes them very human like .
Steve really weaves a great store between actual science of creation of the planets ,and the mythology of gods creating these said universes. This book is very entertaining and can be read by anyone from teen ager to us old people . So if you want an entertaining read check it out , You will get a good read and a few giggles every now and then

Giving a shout out to all the fantasy lovers out there. They are running an awesome event in time for Valentine's day
Today I will be posting  Joseph Lallo's book
RISE OF THE RED SHADOW

AUTHOR'S BIO

A native of Bayonne, NJ - the fabled birthplace of George R. R. Martin - Joseph Lallo is an unlikely entry into the world of literature. After a childhood spent daydreaming and reading, he fully intended to pursue a career in the tech sector. He received a Master's Degree in Computer Engineering from NJIT, and subsequently got a job working IT for a large healthcare corporation. Things changed when, in January 2010, his friends finally convinced him to publish the story that had accumulated over the course of a decade of spare time. That story, now known as the Book of Deacon Trilogy, was a surprise hit, and once he got a taste of the world of indie writing, he was hooked. Now he splits his time between crunching numbers at his day job, writing novels at night, and writing articles and reviews for BrainLazy.com, a group blog he helps run. His latest novels are Bypass Gemini and Unstable Prototypes, the first two books of a science fiction series

 EXCERPTS FROM THE BOOK
In his shack, Ben woke to the sound of rain. He was pleased to discover that, though they may have cared little about the wind, the owners of the plantation knew enough to keep the rain off of their tools. The roof was perhaps the only fully intact part of the entire structure. At least he would be dry. For the most part, anyway. Here and there a gust of wind forced itself through the drafty walls and brought a spritz of water with it. Rather than wake up with a damp blanket, and no doubt catch his death of cold, the old man reluctantly climbed from his cot to shuffle it a bit farther from the wall.

“First thing in the morning, I see where the wind is getting in, and see what I can do to fix it,” he muttered to himself.
Once he was satisfied that he was out of reach of even the most motivated leaks, he rolled himself onto the canvas of the cot and lay his head upon the bundle of cloth that served as a pillow. The instant sleep began to claim him though, a scratch at his door shook him from his doze. For a moment, he dismissed the noise, assuming it was a bit of bramble or an errant tree branch broken free by the wind. When it turned to an insistent hammering on the door, Ben groggily hoisted himself to his feet again.
“What is it? Whoever it is, haven’t you got the sense to stay out of the rain?” he grumbled, removing the brace from the door and easing it open a crack.

Even the whisper of an opening brought a veritable stream of water spattering to the ground by the door. It also brought a sudden pressure as something heaved itself desperately at the opening and scrabbled to get through.

ONE WEEK TILL VALENTINE'S DAY

Well seeing how we have one week until Valentine's day. I thought I would do something different. I started reading romance until the 14th. Or what they call it now a days chick lit. Its that ooeh gooey way you get when you have a hero that comes to your rescue and you fall into his arms , Knowing that he loves you, even with your flaws or curses . This is such book  CURSED BY CUPID  by Wendy Sparrow

BOOK BLURB

Dear Reader, this letter is to inform you of Cupid’s curse, which will fall upon you if you don’t pass this email on to three friends within three hours.Tilly Morrow didn’t believe in the curse and now she hasn’t had a second date in three years…because all her first dates end in disaster. In fact, she just accidentally punched a guy in the face, leaving her without a date for Valentine’s Day!
Bryant Murphy isn’t sure if the curse is real or not, but if dating Tilly means occasionally getting assaulted with a chocolate shake or nearly electrocuted, it’s worth the risk. Armed with more lucky charms than a bowl of cereal, Bryant will have to battle flying swords, Russian mail-order brides, and shrimp linguini if he’s going to win the girl.

MY REVIEW
Tilly Morrow is cursed its been three years since she has been on a date . All thanks to a cursed chain letter that was sent to her and she didn't send it on.. Since then all her first dates have been marred with accidents or just don't happen . Until the day that she went to a embroidery store to get her karate badge fixed . When she falls into the door throwing milkshake all over the door and the finds the hot store owner. Who helps her out and then asks her out. She tries to say no but Bryant basically coerces her to go on this date. Well Valentine's day is upon us and poor Tilly has two dates . The blind date she suckered punched and Bryant. Lets just say hilarity does commence. The seafood linguine scene is worth the reading alone. So will Bryant break her curse or even survive the first date .

Wendy weaves a cute tail of what could go wrong when you start to think that you are cursed. I mean we all have had those darn chain letters. You think maybe something will happen if you don't send them. You could feel like Tilly or you can try and put it past you. Well poor Tilly has tried for three years. Now you think the gods would have pity on her but no. Wendy just keeps the fun of the story with the flying swords and setting a theater on fire. To a hospital visit . This is one fun read for the valentine's day weekend. Wendy can write a great fun light hearted story. So if you are storm stayed and maybe alone this week of love. Check it out. you will laugh and laugh and laugh

HAPPY HUMP DAY EVERYONE

Well its Wed and what  can  I say , its still fricken cold out there. So I got out my precious and read Lisa Kessler's new book BEG ME TO SLAY. This book is now one of my new favorite books. Gabe just might have to be my new book boyfriend. Sorry boys , he slays demons for a living .  He is a tattooed hot man who fights demons and is one in a long line of demon slayers.  He is also a p.i and is hired by Tegan. its like Megan with a T. Loved that when she explained that to Gabe for the first time.  She is one tough cookie that can take care of herself, as she keeps reminding Gabe every chance she can. Proving this by basically kicking his ass at one point. As they work their way to find out the demon that attacked her, they can't help but have feelings for each other. They are scared to act on those feelings cause they both are damaged and are scared of the feeling that they have deep inside of them.  As they move closer to finding the demon, together they have each others backs when it counts,
I first fell in love with Lisa's moonlight series. She can write a good shifter book. I grabbed BEG TO ME TO SLAY and holy moly , I started it last night . Reluctantly had to put it down to go to bed. Just like any bookaholic I was up at 4 am curdled up on the couch with my precious . I couldn't put the book down. I was so wrapped up in Gabe and Tegan's story. I was cheering for them the whole time . The best part of the book for me is when Gabe and Tegan were in her dojo with the teens and they were sparring. Lets just say someone was totally worked up sparing with his girl.
Lisa weaves a tale of demons and slayers with a hint of celtic mythology mixed in  BEG ME TO SLAY is the book for you. You cheer for them both and you want them to be happy in the end.
So please if you want a great read check out Lisa's book. She doesn't disappoint . She has a lot of hot alpha men that make you want to swoon.
